Museum of Apiculture

Bees are more than just suppliers of honey. As pollinators of a multitude of flowering plants, they are an integral part of our ecosystem. The Museum of Apiculture at the Plattner bee farm is designed to give us an understanding of how important these diligent insects are to us. The museum was set up on one of the oldest farms in the region. It houses the largest collection on domestic apiculture in South Tyrol. A specially designed educational trail provides you with lots of information about bees and honey. The Museum of Apiculture is also very interesting and educational for children.
