Corno del Renon

The local mountain of the Renon is a unique place of energy and vantage point due to its unique location at the heart of the South Tyrol Alps. In good weather, the spectacular view from there includes not only a large part of the Dolomites but also the Ötztal Alps plus the Texel Group in the north-west and the Ortler Alps to the west. The Corno del Renon can be reached on foot or by public transport and you can continue up the mountain from there with the mountain railway from Pemmern. The mountain station is a convenient starting point for a number of terrific hiking tours across the almost endless planes of the Renon and Barbiano mountain pastures.
